DJ Big Poppa delivers high-energy, multi-genre DJ sets for corporate events, milestone birthdays, and private celebrations across the UK.
Rooted in house and dance music but equally at home in 80s and 90s classics, disco, funk, R&B, hip-hop, and modern Afrobeats, every set is built live, reading the room and responding to the energy of the crowd.
The thing clients notice first is the energy. Not just what's playing, how it's managed. Two decades of live sets means knowing when to build, when to hold, and when to drop something unexpected that shifts the whole room up a gear. The kind of sets where people who came to watch end up dancing for hours.
With a professional background in engineering, planning and reliability are central to how every event is handled. From the first enquiry through to the final track, communication is clear, expectations are aligned in advance, and everything runs smoothly on the night.
Every booking includes a pre-event consultation where we'll discuss the musical direction, must-play tracks, and anything you'd prefer to avoid. This ensures the event reflects your vision while still allowing the flexibility to respond to the crowd on the night. Guest requests are always welcome.
Sound and lighting packages are available to suit your venue, or I'm equally comfortable working with existing event production.
